A friend and I stayed at this hotel on a quick trip to Montreal. Our first impression was quite a positive one as we were greeted by friendly staff. However, that's where it stopped. The room was dirty hair on the beds , and smelled funny. It seemed that either the water was quite rusty in was sitting there for a bit in the toilet or that someone used it and didn't flush.
During the day the hotel seems to be in a not too shabby location, however, at night we realized that it is in the "red light" district of Montreal. There were prostitutes walking in front of the hotel grounds and the staff didn't seem to mind at all.
When we were going up to our room, there were two other guys with what were obvious in-call ladies. I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Not clean, at night you realize that's not a nice hotel. You are within a walking distance from everything - riverfront, Jaques Cartier Square, restaurants, etc.
The Not So Good. Our suite was really small. I am not your typical American wanting everything super-sized. I am all for taking less space, consuming less, only what one needs I don't think there was even room in the bedroom for a chair or anything really. And the living room was so small that once we unfolded the sofa-bed, we had to climb over it to get to the other side.
We arrived at about 7: A meter in central Montreal on a Saturday evening! When we came back empty handed after cruising around for a while and asked what we should do, we were told in no uncertain terms that there was nothing the hotel staff could do for us. And the lady that told us that sounded as if we asked for something unreasonable, like, I don't know, a second room, for free.
