If you are looking for a casino, this is a small one to enjoy in Jaco. Also, they have a nice motel Guys, if you are traveling alone or with your open minded girlfriend, take a spin around the Cocal This is still the best casino In the Jaco area, they have multiple table games, upstairs poker tables and a good mount of slot machines. The buy ins are very affordable compared to the Jazz casino, and inside the casino is clean, air conditioned and nice. If you leave the casino their is an outdoor bar by the pool which was prostitutes and older American men.
Very creepy and disturbing to watch them go in and out of hotel rooms with different American men, many actually had wedding rings on too!
My friends and I were the only girls outside that were not prostitutes. There was probably about 30 of them at the bar Usually do not see more than one or two actually in the casino itself though so I would still recommend the casino for gambling, but I would not go near a room there. It reminded me of the old downtown Vegas circa 70's. The bar next door was a quasi pickup brothel making for some interesting viewing between hands.
I have had many a fun night in there. In the past they were kinda questionable in their policies. I remember telling my friend to be careful cause they dosed their drinks and he said "that's why I come here" Well I wound up in a ditch after one of my nights there and there is no way I had that many rum and cokes.
But like I said they seemed to have changed their ways. Casino is small and there are only a few tables and a bunch of machines. The texas hold'em table upstairs is fun too but they have a steady stream of really good players so watch yourself. But, I must say that most of the town of Jaco is the same way. Cocal calls itself a casino and I guess it is but not really.
